Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and Wentworth Health Partners Seacoast Physiatry will host a free virtual community lecture titled Can My Body Heal Itself? Injuries and PRP Injections virtually on Tuesday, August 31, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Attendees will learn more about platelet-rich plasma injections (PRP) and other injuries from Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s Musculoskeletal Service Line Medical Director, Barry Gendron, DO, of Wentworth Health Partners Seacoast Physiatry and Occupational Therapy Manager, Danielle Amero, OTD, OTR/L, CHT, of Wentworth-Douglass Rehabilitation Services.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy uses injections of a concentration of a patient's own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. In this way, PRP injections use the body's own healing system to improve musculoskeletal problems.
Wentworth Health Partners Seacoast Physiatry specializes in the non-surgical treatment and diagnosis of conditions of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.
